Gun Free Office: contact by email to make alternative accommodations. While I would prefer to simply leave my door open and welcome you into my office as in years past, Texas law now requires me to provide “oral notice” before you enter in order to exercise my right to ban guns from my office. Therefore, you will find my door closed even during office hours so that I can provide this notice when you knock. You will also find an explanatory sign. I recognize that this is awkward. Nevertheless, I welcome visitors for free and open discussion; set aside your weapons in preparation.
